Three-time Football Kenya Women Premier League Champions Kenya Police Bullets are full of confidence ahead of the 2026 CECAFA CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers in Kigali, Rwanda.
Police Bullets’ contingent consisting of 26 players and eight officials left Nairobi for Kigali on Thursday evening.
They have set a clear goal of winning the CECAFA title having missed it narrowly in 2024 and 2025.
Coached by David Bujego, Police Bullets are in Group C alongside the 2022 winners Simba Queens of Tanzania and Top Girls Academy of Burundi.
Bullets will begin its search for the coveted glory against tricky customers Simba on Monday with the matches scheduled for August 21-31, 2026.
Bujego believes the new faces in Police Bullets will be the ignition that powers them to the elusive title following a stumble in the 2024 final against hosts CBE of Ethiopia where they fell 1-0 and a disappointing elimination in the semi-final against eventual winners JKT in 2025 in Nairobi.
Harambee Starlets midfielder Martha Amunyolet from Vihiga Queens and red-hot winger Eglay Mukhwana from Trinity Starlets are some of the players who have joined the 2026 FKF WPL champions.
The winners of the competition will represent the CECAFA region in the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League.
