Guinness Brand Manager Joy Murugi said the visit reflects the importance of Kenyan supporters to the EPL.

Kenyan football fans are set for a rare opportunity to experience the Premier League trophy up close when the iconic silverware goes on display in Kisumu and Nairobi this weekend, bringing them face-to-face with one of world football’s most coveted prizes.

The trophy arrived in Nairobi on October 13 ahead of a fan tour organised by Guinness, the Official Beer of the Premier League, as part of efforts to deepen the competition’s connection with its passionate Kenyan following.

Fans will have an opportunity to see the trophy during Guinness Matchday events featuring live screenings of Premier League matches, alongside fellow supporters, in an experience designed to celebrate Kenya’s vibrant football culture.

The tour comes after Arsenal ended a 22-year wait to win the Premier League title, clinching the 2025/26 crown for the first time since 2004. Mikel Arteta’s side finished seven points clear of Manchester City, lifting the trophy after a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace on the final day of the season.

Guinness Brand Manager Joy Murugi said the visit reflects the importance of Kenyan supporters to the league and the brand’s commitment to creating memorable football experiences.

“The presence of the trophy at the Guinness Matchday serves not just to elevate the experience but to recognise the standing of Kenya’s football fans in their support of the Premier League,” Murugi said.

The trophy will be displayed at Dondez and Berlin Lounge in Kisumu on Friday, October 16, before the tour moves to Nairobi for events at 1824 and Kettle House on Saturday, October 17.

The trophy is one of two identical versions used by the Premier League, with each standing 1.04 metres tall and weighing 25.4 kilogrammes. Its main body is made of sterling silver, while the crown is crafted from 24-carat silver gilt.

The base is made from malachite, a semi-precious stone whose green colour represents the field of play.

Beyond the silverware, the Guinness Matchday events will offer supporters a shared viewing experience centred on the weekend’s Premier League fixtures.
