Kenya on Mashujaa Day confirmed one more Ebola case, bringing the total to nine cases, since the Ministry of Health announced the first case on October 6, 2026.
Director General of Health Dr Patrick Amoth stated that eight patients are improving, and 134 of 135 contacts have been traced and quarantined.
The index case succumbed while he was receiving treatment.
“All nine Ebola cases belong to one cluster. As of today (Tuesday), there is no evidence of transmission outside this group,” said Dr Amoth.
