Form Four exams begin on October 19 while KPSEA runs from October 26 to October 29, 2026.

Primary and secondary schools in Matungulu constituency on Friday received textbooks to aid candidates in revising ahead of their final KPSEA and KCSE examinations.

The students received encyclopaedia textbooks for revision worth KES 5 million from their area Member of Parliament, Stephen Mule, during a ceremony held at the Tala High School grounds in Matungulu constituency.

Speaking at the function, which also coincided with World Teachers’ Day celebrations, Mr Mule said he wanted to make Matungulu a model constituency for educational standards.

He noted that before he became the MP, the constituency had only a few secondary schools.

However, that number has since doubled, and more day secondary schools are planned for construction.

Mule, who is also a doctor, stated that the increase in schools means more job opportunities for teachers and other staff.

“With the increase in population, we cannot rely only on schools that were built at independence. I am happy to note that the number of secondary schools in my constituency has doubled,” said Dr Mule.

The MP emphasized that education is the best gift a parent can give to their children, adding that no effort should be spared in improving the standards of education in Matungulu constituency.

Dr Mule also called on the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) to ensure that this year’s national examinations run smoothly.

He warned that irregularities negatively affect the country’s education system and must be avoided.

“I call upon KNEC to take all necessary steps to ensure the smooth running and credibility of the 2026 national examinations. They should involve all stakeholders, including candidates, parents, the public, and the media to prevent cases of cheating during the exam period,” Dr Mule added.

He also wished the candidates the best of luck, saying that he is praying for God’s blessings to be upon them throughout the examination period.

Form Four students will start their exams on October 19 and finish on November 20, 2026, while the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) tests will be administered between October 26 and October 29, 2026.
