Police officer Elijah Kimoi, who allegedly shot dead Dr Victoria Mutiso on July 29, 2026, has been arraigned jointly with Rose Mbithe Mulwa and members of her family.
The four have been remanded until September 23, 2026, when they will face charges.
Justice Kanyi Kimondo on Thursday ordered that Rose Mbithe, her children Chris and Angella, and Kimoi undergo psychiatric examination to establish whether they are mentally fit to stand trial.
The judge also directed the deputy registrar to assign a lawyer to represent Kimoi. All four are due to enter their pleas on September 23, 2026.
